It’s Not Easy Being a Bunny! Activities

What you’ll need:
- It’s Not Easy Being a Bunny Printables
- Coloring Pencils/ markers
- Scissors
- Glue
Activity 1: ‘I want to be a …’ Class Book

Print out and copy the class book activity sheets. Hand out the sheets to the children and ask them to draw a picture of which animal they would like to be and then to write the words of why they want to be that animal. If they can’t write yet, the teacher can help them by tracing the words.
Activity 2: Sequencing

How to use this resource:
Cut out the pictures and paste on the numbers worksheet to sequence and re-tell the story. The order is as follows: 1 – carrots, 2 – siblings, 3 – long ears, 4 – bear, 5 – bird, 6 – beaver, 7 – pig, 8 – moose, 9 – possum, 10 – skunk

How to use this resource:
Print out and copy the activity sheets. Children cut out the words and paste them in the correct spaces
Activity 4: Bobbing Head Paper Craft

How to use this resource:
Print out and copy the activity sheets. Children cut out the pictures and assemble the pieces to make a Bobbing Head Bunny!
Activity 5: Story map

Print out and copy the activity sheets. Children complete the activity as follows: Setting: The forest, Characters: Bunny, Bears, Birds, Beavers, Possums, Skunks, Pigs, Moose, Beginning: Bunny does not want to be a bunny, Middle: Bunny goes on a journey, End: Bunny comes back home.
Activity 6: Color by Number Activity

How to use this resource:
Print out and copy the activity sheets. Children color the bunny according to the numbers.
Activity 7: Headbands Role Play Activity

Print out and copy the headbands. Children choose an animal, then color the pictures and assemble the headbands. Use the headbands to role play the story.
Activity 8: ‘Roll a Bunny’ Dice Game

Print out and copy the activity sheets. Laminate the dice sheet for re-use. During center time, children roll the dice to ‘build’ their own bunny.
Activity 9: Vocabulary Cut-and-Paste Activity
