What you’ll need:

Activity 1: Writing Prompts
Print out and copy the activity sheets. Children choose an activity and write about it.
Activity 2: Sequencing
How to use this resource:
Cut out the pictures and paste them in the correct order. The order is as follows: 1 – bird, 2 – monkey, 3 – zebra, 4 – peacock, 5 – lion, 6 – elephant, 7 – hippo, 8 – otter, 9 – snake, 10 – hyena, 11 – crocodile, 12 – marabou, 13 – bear, 14 – frog, 15 – porcupine
Activity 3: Movement Cards
How to use this resource:
Print out, cut and laminate the movement cards. During Morning Meeting, the teacher shows a card to the children. The children then act out the prompts.
Activity 4: Grumpy Monkey Writing Craft
How to use this resource:
Cut out the pictures of the arms, head, body and legs. Children write about things that makes them grumpy, and things they do to feel better. When they are done, they draw a picture of themselves when they are grumpy, then cut out and paste the activity sheets.
Activity 5: Story map
Print out and copy the activity sheets. Children complete the activity as follows: Setting: The jungle. Characters: Grumpy Monkey and all the animals. Beginning: Bunny does not want to be a bunny. Middle: Grumpy Monkey goes on a walk. End: Grumpy Monkey has a talk with Norman and felt better.
Activity 6: Color by Number Activity
How to use this resource:
Print out and copy the activity sheet. Children cut out the pictures and complete the patterns by pasting it in the correct spaces.
Activity 7: Number Tracing Book
Print out, copy and assemble the number books. Children complete the activity by counting the animals, tracing and writing the pictures of the animals and then coloring the pictures.
Activity 8: Counting Activity Sheet
Print out and copy the activity sheet. Children count the pictures, record the answers, then color.
