What you’ll need:

- Coloring Pencils/ markers

Activity 1: Animal Sounds Bingo

Print out, laminate and cut the bingo cards. Use during Morning Meeting Time or as a Center Activity.
Activity 2: Sequencing

How to use this resource:
Cut out the pictures and paste on the numbers worksheet to sequence and re-tell ‘Corduroy’ by Don Freeman. The order is as follows: 1 – toad, 2 – sheep, 3 – cow, 4 – pig, 5 – chicken, 6 – chick, 7 – goat, 8 – horse, 9 – duck
Activity 3: Zoo & Farm Animal Sorting

Print out and copy the activity sheets. Cut out the pictures of the animals and paste them under the correct heading.
Activity 4: Vocabulary Accordion Book

Print out and copy the accordion book activity sheets. Hand out the sheets according to each child’s level. Children trace or write the words, color the pictures, then assemble the book.
Activity 5: Story Map

Read the story or watch the read-aloud on YouTube. Talk about the characters (Little Blue Truck, Toad, Sheep, Cow, Pig, Chicken, Chick, Goat, Horse, Duck, Dump Truck), the setting (a farm), the problem (The trucks are stuck) and the solution (The animals push them out). Hand out the activity sheets. Children cut the pictures out and paste it in the correct spaces or write the correct responses.
Activity 6: Mom & baby Animals Match

Print out and laminate the photos of the animals. During morning meeting, match the animals to their babies. Print out and copy the activity sheets. Match the baby animals to the mom animals by cut and pasting the pictures. Trace the words, then color
Activity 7: Comprehension Cards

Print out, cut and laminate the cards. During meeting time, volunteers choose a card. The teacher reads the question. Whoever gets the right answer can choose the next card.
Activity 9: Little Blue Truck Counting Craft

Print out and copy the pictures. Stick the picture of the blue truck on the side of a tissue box. Cut out the pictures of the animals. Stick popsicle sticks or skewers behind the pictures. Poke holes on top of the box. Students re-tell the story as they place the sticks in the holes.
