Activity 1: Sequencing
How to use this resource:
Cut out the pictures and paste on the numbers to sequence and re-tell the story.
The order is as follows:
1 – Cookie, 2 – Milk, 3 – Straw, 4 – Napkin, 5 – Mirror, 6 – Nail scissors, 7 – Broom, 8 – Pillow & Blanket, 9 – Book, 10 – Paper & Crayons, 11 – Pen, 12 – Scotch tape
Activity 2: Class Book
How to use this resource:
Print out and copy the cover and class book activity sheets. Children draw a picture of what else they would ask for, then write about it. Assemble the book and read it back to the class.
Activity 3: Cause & Effect
How to use this resource:
Print out and copy the activity sheets. Children either write the causes and effects or cut out the pictures and paste them.
Activity 4: Stick Puppets
How to use this resource:
Print out and copy the activity sheets. Cut out the pictures and stick plastic straws or skewer sticks on the back. Children use these to re-tell the story.
Activity 5: Comprehension & Recipe
Comprehension:
Print out and copy the activity sheets. Read the comprehension questions and ask the children to color the correct picture.
Recipe:
Print out and copy the activity sheets. Children draw a picture of their ideal cookie, then make up a recipe for it.
Activity 6: Beginning Sounds & Measuring
Beginning Sounds:
Print out and copy the activity sheets. Children write each pictures beginning sound next to it, then color the pictures.
Measuring:
Print out and copy the activity sheets. Children use cubes or marshmallows to measure the length and width, record their findings, then color the picture.
