Goodnight Moon Activities

What you’ll need:
- Goodnight Moon Activities Printable
- Coloring Pencils/ markers
- Scissors
- Glue
Activity 1: Story Props & Sequencing

.Cut out the pictures and paste on the numbers to sequence and re-tell the story. The order is as follows: 1 – Goodnight moon, 2 – Goodnight cow jumping over the moon, 3 – Goodnight light, 4 – and the red balloon, 5 – Goodnight bears, 6 – Goodnight chairs, 7 – Goodnight kittens, 8 – and goodnight mittens, 9 – Goodnight clocks, 10 – and goodnight socks, 11 – Goodnight little house, 12 – Goodnight little mouse, 13 – Goodnight comb, 14 – and goodnight brush, 15 – Goodnight mush, 16 – Goodnight quiet old lady whispering hush, 17 – Goodnight stars, 18 – Goodnight air
Activity 2: Following Directions

How to use this resource:
Print out and copy the coloring picture. Read the directions out as children color the picture.
Activity 3: Rhyming Posters & Rhyming Cut-and-Paste

How to use this resource:
Print out, cut and laminate the cards. Use these to match the rhyming pairs. Then hand out the activity sheets. Children cut out the rhyming words and paste these into the correct spaces.
Activity 4: Spelling Book

How to use this resource:
Print out and assemble the books. Children complete the activity by cutting out the letters and pasting these into the correct spaces to spell the words, then color the pictures.
Activity 5: Matching Cards

How to use this resource:
Print out, cut and laminate the cards. Children use these to match the matching cards to each other. Can also be used as a memory game (turn cards face down on the table, children turn 2 over at a time, if they match, children get to keep them. If not, they place the cards back in the same spots).
