The Recess Queen Book Extension Activities
What you need:
- Activity sheets printed and copied (one per child)
- Glue
- Scissors
- Coloring pencils/ markers/ crayons
How to use this resource:
Read the story to the children. When the story is done, talk about Mean Jean and Katie Sue’s characteristics. Also ask the children what the problem and the solution is in the story and who all the characters are.
When the discussion is over, hand out the ‘Katie Sue’ and ‘Mean Jean’ activity sheets. Show the children how to draw the characters, then ask them to cut out and glue the adjectives onto the correct pages.
