The Activity:
Read the book or watch the read-aloud on YouTube. When you are done ask the children why the Pout-Pout Fish felt so overwhelmed? How did they feel on their first day of school?
After the discussion, tell the children that we all come to school to learn how to do things. Hand out the activity sheet and ask the children to write all the letters in their name, all the numbers they can remember, to draw the shapes, and then to finally draw a picture of themselves.
