Children love to pretend to be Firefighters, Doctors, Construction Workers, Musicians, Artists and anything grown-up. The A Visit to the Doctor/ Dentist Cut-and-Paste Activity is a perfect way to develop your young learners’ word recognition and fine-motor skills
A Visit to the Doctor/ Dentist Cut-and-Paste
What you need:
- Sorting Sheets printed out and laminated
- Cut-and-paste activity sheets printed out
- Blu-tac
- Scissors
- Glue
- Coloring pencils
How to complete the activity:
Ask the children if they have ever visited the doctor. Why?. What do they remember from the hospital or clinic? What did the doctor use?
After laminating and cutting out the colored ‘A visit to the Doctor’ sheets, show the children all the cards. Then hand them out and ask, ‘Who has the picture of the stethoscope?’ Hand out the children’s cut-and-paste activity sheets.
Children listen to the Teachers’ directions to color the picture, for example ‘Color the picture of the Stethoscope blue’. Repeat with the ‘Going to the Dentist’ Activity Sheet. Children cut and paste the pictures.
