Activity 1: Sequencing
How to use this resource:
Print out and copy the activity sheets. Children cut out the pictures of the animals and objects and paste them in the correct order: 1 – Elephant, 2 – Cake, 3 – Centipede, 4 – Cement, 5 – Rhinoceros, 6 – Dental floss, 7 – Licorice, 8 – Buffalo, 9 – Aquarium with monster, 10 – Vinegar
Activity 2: Story Props
How to use this resource:
Hand out the pictures to the children. Re-tell the story. Children with the correct pictures come to the front and stick these on the board.
Activity 3: Shape Hunt
How to use this resource:
Cut out and laminate the shapes with the words on them. 2. Hide these around the room or outside in the garden/ playground. 3. Give each child a Shape Hunt recording sheet. 4. Children find the shapes and write the words next to the correct shape on their recording sheets.
