The Gruffalo Story Props & Sequencing
What you need:
- The Gruffalo Story Book
- Printer
- Activity Sheets
- Scissors
- Laminator
- Glue
- Coloring pencils/ markers/ crayons
How to use this resource:
Read the story to the children. When the story is done, ask the children some comprehension questions. For example; ‘Who did the mouse come upon first?’, ‘What did the mouse say to the snake?’, ‘What did the Gruffalo say?’, ‘What color is the Gruffalo’s eyes?’ etc.
When the discussion is over, us the story props to re-tell the story. Hand out some of the pieces to the children and ask them to come to the front and stick it onto the poster.
Hand out the sequencing cut-and-paste sheets and show the children how to cut the pieces. Children glue the pieces onto the activity sheets.
