The Day the Crayons Quit Activities
What you’ll need:
- Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Printable
- Coloring Pencils/ markers
- Scissors
- Glue
Activity 1: Color Posters & Color Sorting
Color Posters: Print out and laminate the color posters. Turn it face over on a table. Ask children if they can remember what pictures each crayon colored. Write these on the whiteboard. Then turn over the posters and see how many pictures the children could remember.
Color Sorting: Print out, cut and laminate the sorting cards and posters. Hand out the cards to the children. Re-read the story and ask children to come to the front and to stick their cards on the correct color poster when it comes up in the story.
Activity 2: The Day the Crayons Quit Sequencing
How to use this resource:
Print and copy the activity sheets. Children cut out the pictures and paste them onto the sequencing sheet in the correct order.
