Stephanie’s Ponytail Activities
What you’ll need:
- Stephanie’s Ponytail Printable
- Coloring Pencils/ markers
- Scissors
- Glue
Activity 1: Story Elements Flip Book
Print out and copy the activity sheets. Children cut out the different parts, then assemble. After gluing the pieces together, the children cut and paste the characters (Stephanie, the other children and the teacher), the setting (school), the problem (The other children being copycats) and the solution (Stephanie tells them she is going to shave her hair off) onto the different parts. They then draw or write a sentence about their favorite part.
Activity 2: Stephanie’s Ponytail Sequencing
How to use this resource:
Print and copy the activity sheets. Children draw Stephanie’s Ponytail in the same sequence that she tied it up in the story.
Activity 3: Class Book
Print out and copy the activity sheets. Ask children which hairstyle they would like. Prepare these and hand out to the children. Children draw their faces and then decorate the wigs (You can also take photos of the children’s faces and cut and paste the wigs over these). When they are done decorating, children write a description eg ‘I want my hair to be long, black and purple)
