If you are looking for a fun and hands-on Transportation themed activity, you have come to right place! The Sea, Land & Air Transportation Sorting Activity is great for improving your young learner’s speaking skills, while also improving their word recognition skills and transportation vocabulary.
Write Sea, Land & Air Transportation Sorting

What you need:
- Transportation pictures laminated and cut out.
- The sorting mat printed out and assembled
- Blu Tack

How to use this resource:
Talk about different modes of transport and how they move. Can a boat fly? Can a car float? Explain that we need different modes of transport to travel in the air, on land or in water.
Show the children the pictures of the vehicles and ask them if these are land, water or air transportation. Hand out the pictures to the children. Ask all the children with sea transportation pictures to stick the pictures onto the sorting sheet. Do the same with air and land transportation.
