The Foolish Tortoise Paper Plate Craft
All kids love board paper-plate crafts! This activity is great for getting them to practice speaking in front of bigger groups, develop their fine-motor skills, work on those memory skills and just to have fun!
What you get:
- Pictures of all the animals
- Printable tortoise body parts
What else will you need:
- Paper plates (one per child)
- Green paint
- Scissors
- Glue
- Coloring pencils
How to use this resource:
Paint the backside of the paper plates green. While the children wait for these to dry, they color and cut out the pictures of all the animals that the Foolish Tortoise met on it’s journey. When the paper plates are dry, the children glue the pictures onto the paper-plate while the teacher re-tells the story. They can then cut out and glue the tortoise body parts onto the paper plates.
