The Fruits & Veggies Themed Activities were perfect for this time of year, Spring Time! The children loved learning about plant parts we eat, making a food journal, observing plants growing, pretending to visit a fruits & veggies shop and drawing and painting vegetables. The Fruits & Veggies Themed Board Game is great for developing counting on and fine-motor skills.
Fruits & Veggies Themed Board Game
What you need:
- Board game printed out and laminated
- Game counters
- Dice
- Take a Chance cards printed out, cut out, assembled and laminated
How to complete the activity:
Each child throws a dice. The child with the highest number starts first. Throw the dice. Move that many spaces forward. Look at the space you landed on and say the name of the fruit/vegetable out loud. Now pick up a ‘Take a Chance’ card. If the picture on the card is the same as the picture you landed on; you get to keep the cards. If the picture on the card and the background color is the same as the space you landed on, you get to keep the card and throw the dice again. Continue until all players have finished the game. The one with the most cards wins.
