Children love to pretend to be Firefighters, Doctors, Construction Workers, Musicians, Artists and anything grown-up. The Duplo Blocks Symmetry Center is a great way to develop young learners’ fine-motor and visual discrimination skills.

What you need:
- DUPLO blocks
- Symmetry cards printed out and laminated
- A mirror
How to complete the activity:
Demonstrate how symmetry works by talking about butterflies and using a mirror. Draw a vertical line on the board and draw a circle on either side, then a triangle next to the circles on either side and so on. During center time the children use DUPLO blocks to places on the symmetry activity cards.
