Don’t Push the Button! Activities
What you’ll need:
- Don’t Push the Button! Activities Printable
- Coloring Pencils/ markers
- Scissors
- Glue
- Laminator and laminating sheets
Activity 1: Following Directions
Following Directions: Print out and laminate the monster coloring and directions activity sheets. Hand the monster coloring sheet out to the children, then read the directions and ask them to complete the activity according to the above picture.
Monster Mania: Print out and copy the Monster Mania coloring pages. Divide the class up into pairs. Hand out Monster Mania 1 and Monster Mania 2 to each pair. The children in the pairs take turns to tell each other how to color their monsters.
Activity 2: Don’t Push the Button! Sequencing
How to use this resource:
Print and copy the activity sheets. Children cut out the pictures and paste them onto the sequencing sheet in the correct order.
Activity 3: Don’t Push the Button! Abracadabra Cards
How to use this resource:
Print out and laminate the ‘Don’t Push the Button!’ Abracadabra Cards. During Morning Meeting Time, show the children the cards with the button side facing forwards. Ask volunteers to come to the front and to ‘push the button’. Turn over the card, and ask the child that pushed the button to pretend to be what is on the card i.e.. to pretend to be a butterfly etc.
