Read the story, or watch the read-aloud on YouTube here. When you are done, ask the children what the different rules were that David broke.

Ask a volunteer to come to the front of the class and to pretend to be the teacher. The child gives his friends various commands (for example: Sit down, Stand up, Clean the tables, pick up the toys etc.) The rest of the children pretend to do all these actions.

Hand out the David Goes to School Printable. The children can now color the pictures and cut these out. Talk about all the pictures while they are coloring. When they are done, they paste the pictures in the correct column on the activity sheet.
