Chrysanthemum Book Extension Activities: Sequencing

What else is needed:
- Color pencils, markers/ crayons
- Scissors
- Glue
How to use this resource:
After reading the story, ask the children to re-tell the story, using the picture cards. Hand out the activity sheets. Now ask the children to color all the pictures on it. When they are done, children cut out the pictures and paste them in the correct order on the sequencing sheet.
Chrysanthemum: ‘I Love My Name!’
All kids love writing and decorating their own names. This activity is great for getting them to practice visual discrimination, learn about the letters in their names and just to have fun!

How to use this resource:
Hand out the activity sheets. Write all your students names on the whiteboard. Count the letters in each child’s name and write the number next to the names. Children complete the ‘My Name is Special!’ activity sheet, then write their names on the ‘I Love My Name!’ activity sheet. They can decorate their names with stickers, glue, glitter, washy tape etc.

What you will need:

How to use this resource:
Print out the activity sheets. Children choose a coloring page, then color it. Talk about the differences and similarities between Victoria and Chrysanthemum, then ask the children to complete the Venn Diagram using adjectives.
