The My Feelings Math Centers is a fun way to understand all the feels we feel. It’s a great activity to develop fine motor, counting and one-on-one correspondence skills.
Center 1: My Feelings Board Game
What you need:
- Board game printed out and laminated
- Board game cards printed out, laminated and cut out
- Dice
- Counters
Time for the activity:
Laminate the board game. Cut out the feeling cards, fold it over so that the purple side is on
the back and laminate. The first child throws the dice and move on that many spaces. They then act out whichever
emotion they land on. When they land on a ‘Feeling Card’ space, they pick up a card and answer the question on it. First child that gets to the ‘finish’ block, wins the game.
Center 2: Snap Cubes Task Cards & Play Dough Mats
What you need:
- Snap Cubes Task Cards printed out and laminated
- Play Dough Mats printed out and laminated
- Play dough
- Snap cubes
- Whiteboard markers
Time for the activity:
Snap cubes activity cards: Cut out and laminate the cards. Use connector cubes to ‘build’ the emotions.
Play dough cards: Cut out and laminate the cards. Use play dough to cover the eyes, mouth and nose
