The Insects Themed Activities were a lot of fun and the kids had a blast! They loved making fly masks, learning about the different body parts of an insect, eating bug crackers and taking part in lots of fun and engaging Math & Literacy Centers. The Insects Themed Fun Facts Center is great for developing young children’s fine-motor skills and insects vocabulary.
Insects Themed Fun Facts
What you need:
- Rocks
- Paint
- Paintbrushes
- Center printed out and laminated
How to complete the activity:
Cut out the pictures of the insects and put in the sensory bin. Alternatively, the insects can be painted on rocks. The children closes their eyes and try and find a picture or rock. They show the picture to the teacher who then reads the ‘Fun Facts’ of that insect.
