The Insects Themed Activities were a lot of fun and the kids had a blast! They loved making fly masks, learning about the different body parts of an insect, eating bug crackers and taking part in lots of fun and engaging Math & Literacy Centers. The Build a Bug Fine-Motor & Math Center is great for developing young children’s fine-motor and one-on-one correspondence abilities.
Build a Bug Fine-Motor & Math Center
What you need:
- Center printed out, laminated and cut out
- Sequins
- Pipe-cleaners
- Googly eyes
- Plastic beads
- Plastic Counters
How to complete the activity:
Laminate ‘Build a Bug’ cards. Use play dough and the objects on the card to build bug. We did not have all the materials, so we used pom-pom’s and beads instead. The children still loved the activity 🙂
